1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing and using the AceAluminium website (acealuminium.co.za) or engaging our services, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions.

Important Notice

If you do not agree with any part of these terms, you must not use our website or services. These terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and AceAluminium (Pty) Ltd.

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any aspect of our services at any time, including the availability of any feature, database, or content.

2. Services Description

AceAluminium specializes in the supply, installation, and maintenance of aluminium doors, windows, and related glass solutions for residential and commercial properties in Johannesburg and surrounding areas.

Our services include:

Custom aluminium door installation
Aluminium window supply and fitting
Glass solutions and replacements
Repair and maintenance services
Consultation and design services
Emergency repair services

Service Limitations

Some services may not be available in all areas. We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone for any reason at any time.

3. Quotations & Pricing

3.1

Quote Validity

All quotations provided by AceAluminium are valid for 30 days from the date of issue, unless otherwise specified in writing. Prices are subject to change due to fluctuations in material costs, supplier pricing, or changes in project specifications.

3.2

Site Assessments

For accurate quotations, a site assessment may be required. Quotes provided without site assessment are estimates only and may be subject to adjustment after physical inspection.

3.3

Additional Costs

Quotations include all standard installation services. Additional costs may apply for:

  • Structural modifications or repairs
  • Electrical or plumbing work
  • Specialized access requirements
  • Waste removal and disposal
  • After-hours or emergency services

Price Guarantee

Once a quotation is accepted and a deposit paid, the quoted price is guaranteed for the scope of work specified, provided the project commences within the quotation validity period.

4. Payments & Deposits

4.1

Deposit Requirements

A 50% deposit is required to secure your booking and commence work. For larger projects exceeding R50,000, alternative payment schedules may be arranged.

4.2

Progress Payments

For extended projects, progress payments may be required at predetermined milestones. These will be clearly outlined in your service agreement.

4.3

Final Payment

The balance is due upon completion of work, before handover of the project. We accept cash, electronic funds transfer, and credit/debit cards (subject to processing fees).

4.4

Late Payments

Accounts not settled within 7 days of completion will incur interest at 2% per month. We reserve the right to suspend services for overdue accounts.

Payment Security

All payment transactions are processed through secure payment gateways. We do not store your credit card details on our servers.

5. Installation Process

5.1

Scheduling

Installation dates are scheduled upon receipt of deposit and confirmation of material availability. While we endeavor to meet agreed timelines, dates are estimates and subject to change due to weather, material delays, or other unforeseen circumstances.

5.2

Site Preparation

Clients are responsible for ensuring the worksite is accessible and prepared for installation. This includes clearing furniture, providing safe access, and securing pets.

5.3

Quality Assurance

All installations are performed to industry standards. Upon completion, a final inspection will be conducted with the client to ensure satisfaction before final payment is processed.

5.4

Client Responsibilities

Clients must:

  • Provide accurate measurements and specifications
  • Obtain necessary permits or approvals
  • Ensure safe working conditions for our team
  • Be available for consultation during the project

6. Warranties & Guarantees

6.1

Product Warranty

All aluminium products supplied by AceAluminium come with a 5-year manufacturer's warranty against defects in materials and workmanship. This warranty covers the aluminium frames and components.

6.2

Installation Guarantee

We provide a 2-year guarantee on all installation workmanship. This covers issues arising from improper installation but does not cover damage caused by misuse, accidents, or natural wear and tear.

6.3

Glass Warranty

Glass components are covered by a 1-year warranty against manufacturing defects. This does not cover breakage due to impact, accidents, or improper cleaning.

6.4

Warranty Claims

To make a warranty claim, contact our customer service team with your original invoice and details of the issue. We will assess the claim and, if valid, repair or replace the defective components at our discretion.

Warranty Exclusions

Warranties do not cover damage caused by: improper maintenance, accidents, natural disasters, unauthorized modifications, or normal wear and tear. Cosmetic issues reported after 30 days may not be covered.

7. Cancellations & Refunds

7.1

Client Cancellations

Cancellations made more than 7 days before the scheduled installation date will receive a full refund of any deposit paid. Cancellations within 7 days may incur a cancellation fee of up to 25% of the deposit to cover administrative costs and lost scheduling opportunities.

7.2

Company Cancellations

We reserve the right to cancel services due to unforeseen circumstances, safety concerns, or if the client breaches these terms. In such cases, any payments received will be refunded in full.

7.3

Refund Processing

Refunds will be processed within 14 business days using the original payment method. Bank transfer refunds may take additional time to reflect in your account.

Custom Orders

Custom-made or non-standard products cannot be cancelled once manufacturing has commenced, as these items are made specifically for your project and cannot be resold.

8. Liability & Indemnification

8.1

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, AceAluminium's total liability for any claim arising from our services shall not exceed the total amount paid by the client for the specific services in question.

8.2

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless AceAluminium, its employees, and affiliates from any claims, damages, liabilities, costs, or expenses arising from your use of our services or breach of these terms.

8.3

Force Majeure

We are not liable for any failure or delay in performance due to circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to acts of God, war, terrorism, labor disputes, or supplier failures.

Insurance

AceAluminium maintains comprehensive public liability insurance. Clients are responsible for ensuring their own property insurance adequately covers the installation period.

9. Intellectual Property

All content on the AceAluminium website, including text, graphics, logos, images, and software, is the property of AceAluminium (Pty) Ltd and protected by South African and international copyright laws.

You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, or create derivative works from any content without our express written permission. This includes the use of our product images, descriptions, or technical specifications.

License to Use

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to access and use our website for personal, non-commercial purposes. This license does not include any resale or commercial use of our website or its contents.

10. User Conduct

When using our website or services, you agree not to:

  • Provide false, misleading, or inaccurate information
  • Use our services for any unlawful purpose
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems
  • Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of our services
  • Use contact information obtained from our website for unsolicited communications

Account Security

If we provide you with an account to access certain features, you are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account information and for all activities that occur under your account.

11. Governing Law

These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of South Africa.

Any disputes arising from these terms or our services shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of South Africa, with specific preference for the Gauteng Division of the High Court, Johannesburg.

Dispute Resolution

We encourage clients to contact us directly to resolve any disputes before pursuing formal legal action. Most issues can be resolved through constructive communication and mutual understanding.

12. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms and Conditions at any time. Changes will be effective immediately upon posting to our website.

We will make reasonable efforts to notify users of significant changes through email notifications or prominent notices on our website. However, it is your responsibility to review these terms periodically for updates.

Continued Use

Your continued use of our website or services after any changes to these terms constitutes acceptance of those changes. If you do not agree to the modified terms, you must discontinue using our services.
